25% of the heat of a house are lost through the windows and doors of a house. We now have double glazing units and PVC en mass replacing old wooden windows. But it this really the way to go?

DOUBLE GLAZING
Double glazing is taking off with much of UK now being under PVC and double glazing units. Saving carbon, yes, but sustainable? This needs more investigation.
