Interested in a challenge? Want to be a part of the solution? Get a thrill from sustainable living? Need some work?!

Well then, eekos may be for you.

In the coming months of the second half of 2009 we are looking to launch some enterprises;
- "Tilikandee Bungaloos" to build and sell tropical eco houses in Gambia.
- The establishment of a Permaculture centre in Gambia.
- Setting up Insulation and eco window repair in the UK.
We hope to build on this with other enterprises in 2010.

We have been building the framework to eekos for several years and now we feel it ready and time to get to some real work!
So we are looking to get more people to join for the mentioned enterprises and look to set up more for the future.

If you are interested in joining us, continue reading below where we will point you to a few location on the website that will help understand how this democratic business is to run and how it may benefit you joining us.



The first thing you will need to do is to familiarise yourself with the eekos business idea.
Because it is a totally different type of business from the normal, it may take a while to "get it"!

Firstly it will be a good idea to have a look at The eekos Company "ethos";

"To build an international cooperative company to supply information, goods and services that will assist to build and maintain healthy, sustainable lifestyles and repair and conserve natural ecosystems"

Then a good way to get an idea of what we are about is the "Enterprises" page where you can see what we have been planning to set up in the coming months. Also the "Agencies" area where you can see what has happened and is happening in each area.

If these enterprises look like something that you would like to be a part of, then read the page "About us" first and the more detailed "About us - details" (click on the headings for more information) and "Origins" to get an idea of what the basic philosophy is and where the company started and where it is heading to.

Then, if you have made it that far (phew!) then you may just be the person we are looking for! So have a read of the more detailed "Questions about joining eekos" where we have tried to answer the questions you may have.

Still interested? We have put the existing vacancy for tasks that need to be done in the "Tasks" area.
But you don't have to just go with our tasks. You can pursue your own sustainable business within the structure of eekos, or just with our assistance in a number of ways. See "Opportunities" for a general idea on how you can pursure your ideas working within or in colaboration with eekos.
