The premise of eekos is to supply information, goods and services that will assist in building and maintaining healthy, sustainable lifestyles and repair and conserve natural ecosystems.
We operate out of England and are currently doing work in Gambia and soon, Australia.

PERMAULTURE CENTRE
Well, things are starting to move along a bit in Gambia with the initiation of the "Permacutlure centre" that eekos is supporting.
We will be helping to coordinate activities to obtain the land, help plan the centre and help get support for it locally.
We think this is an exciting addition to sustainable living in Gambia and the regularl Permaculture courses will help to train local and international students.
TROPICAL ECOHOUSES
We are getting a number of enquiries about building eco houses in Gambia. So we are currently putting together some plans and information soon to be in the enterprise section - "Tilikandee Bungaloos" (Tropical houses).
SANYANG YOGA HUT
Building has finished! The members in Gambia have finished building the first a hut for a Yoga camp on the road to the beautiful Sanyang beach in Gambia.
The hut is similar to the original ones at Footsteps ecolodge with inside composting toilet and shower area and single bedroom area. The roof will be light corrugated iron with a thatch covering.

We are currently doing a contract to recondition, draughtproof and install double glazing into sash windows on the house below.
With an average of ten hours per window we have a lot of hours to go!

Latest news - AUSTRALIA - May 2009
Kevin has just returned from a 2 months visit with his family and has been travelling from Adelaide right up to tropical Cairns.
We will be trying to get eekos launched in Australia in the coming months.
It will be great to have an antipodean agency going as Australians living in sub tropical and tropical zones can help with our work in Africa and visa versa.
